Our client based in Maldon are looking to recruit Landscape Operatives to join their busy company who specialise in vegetation, land management, grounds maintenance & tree care. Providing services across East Anglia and travel further afield when required to do so.
The Role
The ideal candidate would be reliable, flexible, safety conscious and hard-working and a hands-on individual who is keen to learn and eager to further their outdoor career within the Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Arboriculture trades across a broad spectrum of work types.
Work will focus on grass cutting activities on construction sites, maintaining fence lines and keeping them clear of vegetation including ad-hoc manual labouring and banksman duties, however as time goes on duties may vary as client requirements change.
The following qualifications would be of interest, although not essential for the right candidate with the right mindset:
- CSCS (Labourer)
- ROLO (Operative)
- First Aid
- NPTC/NPORS/LANTRA Strimmer
- Manual Handling
Requirements
A full and clean valid manual driving licence (UK) and access to personal transport is also mandatory due to the rural location of our yard. For insurance purposes, all applicants must be aged 21 and over to drive our fleet of vans and 4x4's.
Candidates will be required to pass a full medical including a drugs & alcohol test on their first day of employment. You will also need to pass a DBS check as well as provide right to work in the UK.
This is a 12-month FTC with the view to be offered a permanent contract pending performance. Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am-4.30pm, on occasion you may be asked to work extra hours (overtime), weekends, evenings or nights to accommodate specific job requirements.
The salary for this role is between £25,000 - £27,000 per annum depending on experience including a bonus scheme.
