My Client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, which specialises in engineering solutions for the natural environment, is searching for a Senior River Engineer to join their Team based in Reading.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a friendly team of Engineers to complete Flood civil and structural projects for rivers, deltas and coastlines for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Government Bodies.
As a Senior River Engineer you will required to complete technical work including;
- River Restoration design and Natural Flood Risk Management.
- Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Gate Design.
- Design and repair of Weirs, Walls and Embankments.
- Bridge Design for over waterways.
- Design of River Works and Hydraulic Structures including Watercourse Diversions, Reinforced Concrete Design and Repairs.
- Site visits if required by the Asset Management Team.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing detailed design of Embankments, Weirs and/or River Restoration Schemes or River Bridge designs using AutoCAD.
It is also beneficial for applicants to reside close to a local office. This role can be based in London, Reading, Cambridge or Birmingham.
