Job Title: Parcel Sorter
Location: Basildon
Remuneration: £11.44 per hour
Contract Details: Temporary to Permanent
Hours of Work: 6am - 2pm - Own transport will be required due to the location of the company
Responsibilities:
- Sorting and organising parcels in a fast-paced environment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work space
- Assisting with loading and unloading parcels as needed
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily targets
- Creating and checking of documents
- Looking up and following of regulations that may apply to goods coming in and out
- Assisting in other areas when required
- General housekeeping including disposal of cardboard and plastic in line with company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with basic computer programmes such as Excel and Word
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good physical fitness as the role involves lifting and moving parcels
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to understand measurements including cl and ml
