Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Worcester, Midlands

Shifts: Monday - Friday, earlies, lates & nights

Salary: Circa £48,000 + per annum + Overtime Available (OTE 55k+)

The Position:

This reputable internationally recognised manufacturing company is seeking a proactive, independent and energetic maintenance engineer with experience within a FMCG manufacturing industry or similar work environment to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

You must be able to work well with others, have a positive attitude towards work and want to grow within the company long-term and must have previous experience finding BOTH mechanical and electrical faults in a FMCG environment. You must be able to show evidence of condition monitors, fault finding and repairs on manufacturing equipment such as pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, plc / control systems. As the purpose of this position is to develop you into the most senior electrical engineer on-site and strong electrical understanding is fundamental.

The role will include working independently on shift but also working closely with other members of the small engineering team and the highly skilled production staff. You must add input and implement your own improvement projects as well as assisting with the site ongoing projects and installations. You will have the autonomy to make a difference to the site, order the equipment and machinery needed and will be given time to make these amendments.

Requirements:

  • 5 years + experience working as a multiskilled maintenance engineer in a similar environment.
  • Drives change on site and takes ownership of improvement actions.
  • Proven ability to handle planned maintenance and continuous improvements.
  • Must hold a level 3 NVQ/HNC/HND or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • You must be enthusiastic to join the historic company and make a difference and improve the efficiency of the site.
  • Be familiar with electrical troubleshooting, predominantly with automated systems/controls/PLCs.
  • Experience with SAP / Steam Systems / Welding / Fabrication is also highly desired.
  • Follow LOTO procedure, identify root cause and repair. Follow up after production running to plan in preventative actions.
