We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our client, a Global Omni-Channel solutions business based in Peterborough.
As the Production Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in high-quality manual hand fulfilment services.
The Fulfilment team carry out a variety of print finishing and packing related tasks, often high volume and time intense.
Main Responsibilities:
- To read and understand job bag/works orders to produce the required quality of work.
- Manage and instruct employees which components are needed to fulfil work orders.
- Assign employees to work on specific products to maximize efficiency to the highest standards.
- Determine the most efficient way to carry out the work, formulate plans to maximize storage and communicate plans to employees.
- Always comply with Health & Safety practices.
- Be responsible for ensuring company and agency employees are trained and understand all work and policies.
Skills required:
- 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience in a production and/or warehouse environment.
- Forklift license (useful but not essential).
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) required.
