Are you a Process Engineer with experience in developing and improving processes as well as managing a team - improving performance and team capability?
At Saint-Gobain Formula we are looking for a Process and Performance Manager to work as part of our site leadership team, helping to ensure product conformance is maintained whilst improving plant performance and reducing costs.
This Process and Performance Manager will be a part of the site leadership team at our Formula site in Newark. You'll be working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for managing a small team of engineers. You'll be an inspirational leader as well as a subject matter expert in all things process and performance.
Formula is one of 30 Saint-Gobain brands and is a leading supplier of industrial gypsum and plaster products, with applications in multiple industries including construction materials, ceramics, dental and personal care, food and agriculture, and more. Formula currently operates from 8 global manufacturing sites, supplying over 80 countries across all 5 continents.
This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, however we can be flexible on start and finish times. We operate on a basis of trust and you will be able to work from home occasionally, but we also ask for your flexibility as there will be times you'll need to be on site outside of office hours to monitor processes.
What we're looking for:
- Degree educated with a relevant Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering degree or similar
- Experience in managing a team and driving performance
- Confident in WCM principles and the use of CI methodologies
- Strong data analysis skills, ability to identify trends and produce reports
- Previous experience as a process engineer within the manufacturing industry
- Project management experience
What you will be doing:
- Review site processes and seek opportunities for improvement/cost reduction
- Conduct process investigations
- Responsibility of the energy management system and associated reporting
- Lead, coach and train team members
- Run improvement projects, adopting WCM philosophies
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors
