We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver to join our team in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to handle materials and products within our warehouse. This role involves general warehouse duties and requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials and products.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment according to delivery schedules.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized. Participate in general housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
