Marketing & Business Development Assistant - Award Winning Law Firm

Based in either Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow or Birmingham, this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic junior applicant with a positive outlook to join a fast paced, fast growing and forward-thinking law firm as a Marketing and Business Development Assistant.

The Business Development & Marketing team are instrumental in creating awareness of the firm's brand to identify and win new business opportunities as well as delivering for existing clients. This involves establishing and nurturing relationships and using everything from events to media relations to tenders to explore new business ideas. Enjoying highly flexible hybrid working arrangements and a broad and varied role, the Marketing and Business Development Assistant will work across a diverse range of projects and campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Operations Manager and working as part of the Marketing Operations team, you will work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, Bids, Events and Client Development teams to support marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for providing business development and bids support, producing first draft credentials documents, proposals and pitch presentations to assist in winning new business, tracking and reporting bid activity across sectors and service lines and collecting and collating bid feedback to help identify themes. From a client development perspective, you will ensure the CRM system is up to date, running regular reports, and will help organise both internal and external client meetings and training sessions and provide client research and collated data and MI. On the marketing side, the role holder will be involved with a wide variety of activities including marketing campaigns and communications, such as website content, email marketing updates and video and podcast recording, will support annual award submissions and attendance and will assist the Events Manager with all aspects of running virtual, in-person and hybrid?hosted events and corporate hospitality.

Confident, proactive, persistent and robust, the ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of working in a professional services environment, to ideally include some business development or marketing experience. Highly-organised, with excellent attention to detail, the Marketing and Business Development Assistant will possess outstanding interpersonal and time management skills, able to work well under pressure and drive projects to completion. Previous experience using BD and marketing technologies, for example CRM systems, email marketing platforms, webinar services and website and intranet content management systems, would be highly advantageous.
