Financial Accountant
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Ascot
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated financial accountant to join their dynamic team. This role has been created due to an additional headcount and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial operations and support our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
Take ownership of the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including all journal entries, reconciliations, reviews, and associated internal control deliverables.
- Reporting:
Prepare month-end reports for the leadership team and lead the monthly Key Performance Indicator reporting process.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain the general ledger and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Business Partnering:
Partner with two of our Practice Teams, supporting them with any finance queries and training the teams on best practices.
- Process Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing enhancements.
The right candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Fully qualified Accountant through either CIMA, ACA, or ACCA, and/or qualified by experience.
- Analytical with high attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
- Clear communicator, able to present complex data in an understandable manner.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
- Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Curious, with a desire to clearly understand the details.
- A self-starter who is always looking to learn and develop themselves as well as the surrounding teams.
