Financial Controller - Manufacturing

Location: Central Belt - Scotland

Elevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller on behalf of a Manufacturing organisation based in the Central Belt of Scotland.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing business. You will be working closely with senior management to increase the company's efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan and a crucial link between finance and the wider business. Producing the month and yearly results, whilst ensuring the senior leadership team receives value-adding management reports and support which drive decision-making.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring strong financial controls are in place and are effective
  • Continuous improvement of an effective control environment to manage financial, operational and business risks
  • Control and manage accounting processes and records of operational budgets, manage cost control practices and cash flow
  • Monthly management reporting, providing insightful business performance analysis to the senior leadership team
  • Technical accounting support and identifying and improving efficiency and compliance of processes
  • Building new processes across the wider finance team
  • Preparation, analysis and reporting of annual financial performance
  • Participate in business tactical and strategic discussions
  • Preparation of budgets and regular forecasting
  • Participate in the continuous analysis and review of site profitability by individual production activity & provide financial support to bring about change
  • Conduct performance reviews, design development plans and set annual goals and competencies for finance team
  • Preparation of reports, coordination and liaison with external auditors

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

  • CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
  • Ideally relevant experience in Manufacturing
  • Stakeholder management and influencing
  • Commercial and operational decision support
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel
  • Experience of managing and leading teams
