SEND teaching assistant required to provide 1-2-1 support with a child who has a primary diagnosis of Autism. Are you a Level 3 teaching assistant looking for a new long-term opportunity? This excellent send school is currently recruiting for a friendly and supportive teaching assistant to provide support for a Key Stage 3 child. This role requires a teaching assistant who has previous experience supporting children with special educational needs.

Job Role:

  • Providing tailored support for a child with special educational needs.
  • Woking closely with an experienced team of teaching assistants to provide the best possible support.
  • Understanding a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Complex Needs, and Aspergers'.
  • Supporting the child on a 1-2-1 basis, delivering intervention where required.
  • Managing behaviours, helping the child to engage with lessons.
  • Recording progress of the child and reporting to the SENCO.
