Monitoring & Responding Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Monitoring & Responding Officer for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will monitor emergency calls from vulnerable residents, provide immediate support, and respond to emergencies by visiting homes to ensure safety and well-being.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Answer and respond to emergency calls from vulnerable residents using the Jontek Answerlink call monitoring platform.
  • Provide timely and compassionate intervention, arranging appropriate support services as required.
  • Visit residents' homes to assist in emergencies, conducting welfare checks and offering hands-on support when necessary.
  • Carry out basic maintenance and troubleshooting of personal alarm equipment, ensuring it functions properly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during shift handovers to ensure a seamless service.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working in an emergency call monitoring centre, particularly with vulnerable service users.
  • Full UK driving licence (clean) and experience driving fleet vehicles; passing the council's driving assessment is required.
  • Familiarity with call monitoring platforms such as PNC or Verklizan, with Jontek (Answerlink) experience preferred.
  • Strong IT, administrative, and organisational skills to manage calls and record-keeping effectively.

What's on offer:

Salary: £18+ph

  • may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: This is a 24/7 service and shift arrangements are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am 7 days week
