We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer of BTEC Computing and Digital T Level to join our educational team. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in computer science and digital technology to students aged 16-19. This role involves designing and implementing a curriculum that is both inclusive and reflective of current industry standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in computer science and digital technology to students aged 16-19.
- Design and implement a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students and aligns with industry advancements.
- Guide students through their T Level qualifications in Digital Production and Digital Support Services.
- Provide support and guidance to students as they develop practical skills and knowledge relevant to the digital sector.
- Inspire and motivate students, setting high expectations that challenge them to achieve their best.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to the strengths and needs of all learners.
- Utilise assessment and verification strategies to ensure productive learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A passion for computing and a desire to develop young professionals for the future.
- Ability to lead BTEC Computing/ICT L1 - L3 courses.
- Capability to teach or be trained to teach T-Level Digital Production and Digital Support Services courses.
- Intermediate skills in Python programming, including Pandas and Matplotlib.
- Desirable skills in full-stack website or app development using PHP, MySQL, or other common frameworks.
- Knowledge in computer networking, digital infrastructure, and cyber security is preferable.
- A teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
- A subject specialist qualification at Degree Level or extensive IT industry experience.
