About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PSHE Cover Teacher for a reputable SEN school in Plymouth. This role is ideal for a passionate educator with a strong background in PSHE and experience within alternative provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEN students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with SEN coordinators and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching PSHE, preferably within an SEN setting.
- Experience within alternative provision.
- Strong understanding of SEN and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
