Senior Project Manager
My client is an award-winning facilities company based in Warrenpoint, who are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
With a salary of £50,000-55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Role:
You will be responsible for assisting and directing all contract activities, managing the team to ensure contract governance and successful delivery at all levels.
Essential Criteria:
- 10 years' experience of working in the Construction industry.
- Quantity Surveying Degree is preferable but other construction related considered.
- Knowledge of Contracts - NEC form of contract (others may be suitable).
- Experience of Compensation events to include adjudication processes.
- Extensive Management experience at Senior Level.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Possess an understanding of construction processes & methodology.
- Understand construction measurement principles.
- Strong IT skills (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Participate in overtime when required (including weekends).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management of client relationship & service delivery.
- Ensure that contract attains Green KPI's wherever possible.
- Motivate and manage staff performance (Daily meetings).
- Provide professional delivery of contract.
- Manage resources for the Contract.
- Carry out change control procedures on projects so variations are identified and agreed.
- Issue Early Warning Notices as required to the client and attend Risk Reduction Meetings as necessary.
- Acknowledge when a compensation event may arise and trigger / act upon any necessary actions.
- Ensure the contract administration and management team are replying to client queries in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
- Lead service delivery ensuring appropriate methods are used in conjunction with maximum operational efficiency
- Support & lead management and administrative team in effective delivery of the contract.
- Provide a monthly contract report to Directors.
- Attend internal monthly meetings with the Contract Manager to report on the contract to Directors.
- Attend client meetings.
- Review the appropriate organizational structure to deliver services in line with the business priorities and service obligations.
- Ensure corporate and contractual governance to include ensuring technical specification is being met.
- Financial budgetary and full P&L understating on the contract.
- Prepare a root cause analysis on risk incidents and action plan management.
- Hold daily internal meetings with the contract management and administrative team to ensure smooth contract operation.
- Ensure Event Control Screens are being maintained to ensure KPI's are being met and bettered if possible.
- Acknowledging and acting upon any training requirements.
- Suggesting and implementing contract improvements to include presenting to Directors those improvements.
