Police Community Support Officer

Posted by North Wales Police.

North Wales Police have a new opportunity for a Police Community Support Officer to join our police force in Wales. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis.

About the Police Community Support Officer role:

Are you passionate about working in the heart of our community? Would you be proud to offer a visible and accessible uniformed presence in the community, focusing on improving quality of life for the public?

You'll patrol the streets, engage with the community, investigate crimes, maybe even chase people from time to time. But many people don't realise how much time is spent pro-actively problem solving. Community-oriented policing focuses on helping people stay out of the criminal justice system, rather than on putting them into it.

Are you a good problem solver? Do you want to make a difference in your community? If you thrive on variety and challenge then this is the role for you!

North Wales Police is looking to further develop its links with the local communities by building long term working partnerships with Neighbourhood Policing Teams. The role of PCSO is vital and unique, designed to tackle anti-social behaviour and local issues affecting the quality of life. Their focus is on crime prevention

You are invited to apply for either a full time or part time role (minimum 16 hours a week). Following your application we will contact you to find out your working availability which will include days of the week, working times, location and also any preferred working patterns for example term-time only or working during school holidays .
