EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Morecambe
  • Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: From £13.43 per hour
  • Start Date: 28th October.
  • Maternity Cover until July 2025 (or when the postholder returns).

We are looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with the Reception class. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum, continuous provision and how it can enhance learning. If you are proactive, flexible, adaptable, and hardworking, we would love to hear from you.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum within the Reception class.
  • Assist with the planning and preparation of activities that promote learning through play.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to implement educational activities and monitor student progress.
  • Engage with children to facilitate learning and development through play and structured activities.
  • Delivery of daily teaching of systematic synthetic phonics to small groups.
  • Adapt to the varying needs of the children and the classroom environment.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational setting for the children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is desirable
  • Good understanding of continuous provision and its impact on learning.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative within the classroom setting.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children and the school.
  • Hardworking and committed to the role of a Teaching Assistant.
