About the Role:
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment. You will be responsible for teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. Your enthusiasm for science will ignite curiosity and drive academic excellence among our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the science curriculum
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Support students in achieving their full potential through tailored learning plans and interventions
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- A degree in a relevant science discipline
- Proven experience teaching science at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching
- The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
