Role Overview:
HMP Dovegate is seeking experienced Band 6 Senior Mental Health Nurses for the "Early Days in Custody" program, focusing on assessments of newly admitted prisoners to identify mental health concerns. No caseload management or interventions are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mental health assessments for newly admitted prisoners.
- Identify concerns and manage risks effectively.
- Collaborate with custody teams for smooth care transitions.
Requirements:
- Prison clearance
- Exceptional assessment and risk management skills
- Strong background in prison healthcare and mental health nursing
