Robertson Bell are seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to join this small and driven finance team. Reporting directly to the brilliant Head of Finance, you will be at the forefront of delivering robust financial insights and ensuring compliance across the financial control environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical financial insights to guide decision-making, including the development and presentation of monthly management accounts.
  • Lead the multi-year budgeting and financial planning processes, delivering accurate and comprehensive forecasts.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting effective business partnering and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the Finance Team on strategic projects, influencing the University's financial efficiency and effectiveness.

This Management Accountant offers an excellent development opportunity for a progressive candidate ready to take on more responsibility. The role will be based in Chiswick and requires two days a week in the office. The successful candidate will benefit from 28 days of annual leave excluding bank holidays and private healthcare contributions as well as generous pension contributions.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be a CCAB part-qualified accountant with a solid background in complex financial management. You will have:
  • Significant experience in managing multi-site budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Expertise in manipulating large volumes of data using advanced Excel skills to produce clear and actionable management information.
  • A proven track record in process review within a continuous improvement environment, with tangible outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and persuade others to adopt new financial practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial data to non-finance professionals.
  • The ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and deliver results across departmental and international boundaries.

Experience in higher education or adult education, as well as exposure to audit frameworks, would be advantageous.
