Programme Manager / Program Manager, Insurance Platform
London/Hybrid
Circa £125k plus bonus & excellent benefits
Experienced Programme Manager is required by well-established insurance firm.
This is a newly created role which will see you overseeing the redevelopment and cloud deployment of their core global insurance system. You will be pivotal in driving the transformation of core systems to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction. Overseeing a diverse team comprising internal and external staff, effective stakeholder engagement, and meticulous financial management throughout the project's life cycle.
The ideal candidate will come from a software development background (.Net, JavaScript with DevOps) and have several years' experience as a Programme Manager. Working with external vendors is also crucial as is experience of insurance platforms.
The role:
- Lead the end-to-end redevelopment and Cloud deployment of the insurance system
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve programme goals
- Ensure the team properly defines requirements and specifications, testing, and implementation plans
- Identify and manage risks and issues effectively to mitigate impact to project success
- Coordinate and facilitate discussion around key program risk areas, such as designs, scope management and more
Key requirements:
- Hail from a development background with experience of .Net, Devops. JavaScript (react or angular)
- Knowledge of Cloud computing platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deployment strategies
- Understanding of modern IT infrastructure, software development life cycle (SDLC), and DevOps practices
- Excellent knowledge of insurance systems and their operational requirements
- Prince2 or PMI - PMP certification and/or Certified Scrum Master preferred
