Job Opportunity: Facilities Assistant
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our client, an innovative architectural practice. You will work closely with the Facilities Team to assist the London office to operate at a high level of comfort and safety throughout each working day.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the presentation and upkeep of the office, performing daily health & safety checks and addressing any issues.
- Manage office heating, cooling, and technical equipment, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain office supplies (milk, fruit, stationery, etc.) and place orders following our standard procedure.
- Carry out minor maintenance repairs and assist with larger manual handling activities (e.g., desk moves, storage).
- Support staff by responding to requests in person, via email, and through the online ticketing system.
- Assist with office storage, archiving, and handling offsite requirements.
- Conduct work experience inductions and DSE assessments when required.
- Purchase necessary items for the team, adhering to financial procedures
Requirements:
- Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent), including passes in English and Maths.
- Some office or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
- Able to follow set tasks independently and manage ad hoc demands with initiative.
- Competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong team player with a "can-do" attitude.
- Positive, approachable, and fair-minded.
- Reliable, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
