As a Junior Front End Developer, you will assist in developing and maintaining our e-commerce websites, working closely with designers and senior developers to create engaging and responsive web interfaces. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

About the Role

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain front-end components of our .NET MVC website.
  • Implement designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
  • Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

We welcome applications from people with experience in HTML, JavaScript or CSS, as well as any experience with .NET MVC.

Essential Skills

The ideal applicant will possess:

  • Competency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Educational background in Computer Science, software engineering or relevant field
  • Basic understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks or libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery)
  • Any experience with .NET MVC is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A portfolio showcasing your work is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of source control systems such as Git.

Desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of Scrum and Sprint methodologies
  • Collaborative with good communication skills
  • Experience with automated build, test and deployment systems
