Quantum Scholars are working alongside a secondary school based in Essex who are looking for a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join them in January 2025. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring a clear understanding of key concepts such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and cybersecurity.
- Design and implement creative lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop cross-curricular projects that integrate technology into other subjects.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and contribute to the school community.
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified teacher.
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science principles and curriculum, with the ability to teach programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and software development concepts.
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred, with a strong track record of student engagement and achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
