Our client is an amazing charity that makes an unbelievable difference. They are now looking to expand their service provision, and they have set an ambitious fundraising target to support this. They are looking for a passionate Head of Fundraising and Communications to review and shape their income generation plan and inspire and lead a committed team to achieve this.

The successful applicant will be an exceptional manager with demonstrable experience of leading successful fundraising campaigns across multiple income streams.

Duties and responsibilities of the Head of Fundraising and Communications will include;

Fundraising

  • Growing income generation across multiple streams
  • Managing a team of fundraisers and monitoring their progress against plan
  • Implementing new initiatives to support the achievement of targets
  • Developing and maintaining effective supporter journeys
  • Ensuring fundraising and expenditure remains within budget

Communications

  • Raising awareness to secure and grow support
  • Managing a small but growing communications team
  • Overseeing brand management and development
  • Taking the lead of communications management and other PR duties
  • Building understanding of key supporters and how to communicate to them

Strategy

  • Working with the team to plan and deliver income generation activity
  • Developing long-term campaigns in relation to new income generation
  • Exploring increasing major donor and digital fundraising
  • Setting annual income and expenditure fundraising and communications targets
  • Preparing reports for the Fundraising and Communications Subcommittee

This is an integral post that needs a creative and innovative thinker - someone who will oversee income streams across corporate, community, events, grants and trusts, and statutory, as well as developing new fundraising opportunities and communications campaigns.
