Pallet Builder

Temp to Perm
Full-time hours (but part-time will be considered for the right candidate)
We are currently looking to recruit a Pallet Builder to work with our Manufacturing client who is based on the outskirts of Ashford, on a full-time temporary to permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business that is one of the leaders within their market and offers an excellent package for its staff.
You will be working Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 5.45 pm & Friday, 8 am - 4.15 pm (This may be flexible) for an hourly rate of £11.93.
Due to the remote location, own transport will be required.
Duties and responsibilities for the role of Pallet Builder
- Build wooden shipping pallets using a pneumatic nail gun, staple gun and hammer
- Organise the warehouse by arranging materials, tools and equipment
- Sort, stack and move pallets using a pallet jack
- Repair and refurbish damaged pallets
- Ensure all pallets meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Skills required for the role of Pallet Builder
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Must have own transport due to location of the site
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials
