Learning Support Assistant required to work with a Year 2 student in a Hornchurch School.
The student is non - verbal, very sensory, working at a low level and can be challenging at times, the right candidate would ideally need to be experienced, supportive, and nurturing with a kind nature.
To start as soon as possible - Monday to Friday (Term time only)
Learning Support Assistant:
- Experience and knowledge of working with Non Verbal students and Challenging Behaviour.
- Skills relating to strategies to support the students triggers and traits.
- An interest, motivation and passion for working with students that have Learning Disabilities.
- Calm, controlled and effective communication and relate well to all children and adults within the school
- Supportive with a calm and patient nature.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within this
- Toileting schedule is in place for the student
Qualified with a relevant L2/L3 Teaching Assistant or Care qualification
