Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive - Manchester - 12-month FTC

£35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Our client is an expanding not for profit organisation that are embarking on an exciting merger and are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support their Chief Executive during this transformative period. This role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition whilst maintaining operational efficiency.

This is a 12-month FTC offering full project support to the Chief Executive. This is a hybrid job opportunity working Monday - Friday, for 35 hours each week.

There will be occasional travel, therefore a full driving licence would be preferred.

THE JOB

As Executive Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintain executive schedules, including appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Organising and coordinating meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
  • Managing confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of merger-related activities, including integration meetings and events.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of merger-related documents and communications.
  • Supporting the development and dissemination of internal and external communications regarding the merger.
  • Coordinating and managing special projects as assigned by the Chief Executive.
  • Tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.
  • Conducting research and gathering data to support decision-making processes.
  • Serving as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries.
  • Facilitating effective communication between the executive team and staff, board members, partners, and other stakeholders.

THE PERSON

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit or housing sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
  • Discretion and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Experience in supporting organisational change and/or mergers is highly desirable.
