Menzies Distribution are looking for a Part-time Transport Administrator providing a first class service with our team in Thrapston.

The Details:

  • Location: Thrapston
  • Salary: £12 p/hr
  • Shift Pattern: 20-25 hours per week. . fleible with days / start and finish times
  • Monthly Pay
  • Parking Onsite

The main priority of this role will be to provide full support to both with regards to all Transport administration. Due to the nature and pace of this role having previous transport related administration and customer service experience to hit the ground running.

Transport Admin duties:

  • Engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that a good impression is always maintained.
  • Liaising with the management team ensuring the smooth operation of the admin & transport department.
  • Ensure all inbound/outbound paperwork is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor and chase documentation in support of the transport operation & produce statistics as and when required.
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet needs of the Transport Department.
  • Dealing with customer orders ensuring quality accuracy, delivery timelines, instruction, and communication to all depot staff.
  • Maintain and expand an excellent proactive relationship with existing customers and suppliers.
  • Dealing with customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation through to closure.
  • Work closely with the Accounts and Finance teams to fully understand Customer and Suppliers requirement and expectations.
  • Collation of accurate data to create customer invoices.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel)
  • Previous transport & administration experience desirable.
  • Good communication & numeric skills – including accuracy.
