Are you an experienced Music Teacher or current Head of Music available for a new role in September? This busy secondary school requires a Head of Music to run a small Music department is a busy secondary school. This role is suitable for either a Head of Music or a confident Music Teacher who can inspire a love for music.
In this role you will be teaching KS 3/4 and leading the small department, undertaking responsibility for planning and marking. This role requires a qualified music teacher and is not suitable for an ECT. The leadership at this school is outstanding and you will receive an abundance of support from both the DHT and Headteacher. Behaviour has vastly improved over the last year, with the school receiving recognition for the improvements in its latest Ofsted visit. Job Role:
- Teaching Music across Key Stages 3 & 4, up to GCSE.
- Planning lessons that are engaging, dynamic and informative.
- Using music to inspire a love for learning.
- Taking part in whole school activities and development opportunities.
- Utilising the school's effective behaviour policy to manage behaviours.
- Planning a delivery of the music curriculum.
