We are seeking a passionate and dedicated
Food Technology Teacher
or Food Tech Cover Supervisor . This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for both education and food technology to inspire and engage students in developing practical life skills.
You will teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students build their knowledge and skills in food preparation, nutrition, and health.
**Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students of varying abilities.
- Inspire students to develop their culinary skills, food science understanding, and knowledge of nutrition.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment within the food technology classroom.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Act as a Cover Supervisor when required, managing classrooms in the absence of subject teachers, ensuring students remain on task and following lesson plans.
- Maintain positive behaviour and learning environments in line with school policies.
**Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience or qualifications in food technology will be considered.
- Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, including food preparation, nutrition, and hygiene.
- Experience working with young people in a school setting is desirable.
- Flexibility to take on the role of a Cover Supervisor across various subjects when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
