Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for science. Are you a current Assistant Headteacher or Science Lead looking for a new, rewarding opportunity? This excellent alternative provision is currently recruiting for an Assistant Headteacher to lead the science curriculum and take responsibility for quality assurance or staff development.

Job Role:

  • Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for science.
  • Implement and deliver an outstanding science curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of students.
  • Managing a small science department and contributing to the management of other teaching and support staff. Including performance reviews and training.
  • Working closely with the Headteacher and Assistant Headteachers to ensure that high standards are maintained and that both staff and students are supported appropriately.
  • Ensuring the safeguarding of all students and staff.
  • Play a vital role in community life, supporting the distinct mission of the school.
  • Managing challenging behaviours and supporting teaching staff in de-escalations and behaviour management. Inspire a love for learning in students.
