SEN Teaching Assistant - ASAP

We are recruiting a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Sefton ( L20 area ) , starting Monday 3rd June and will continue into September

This is a temp to perm opportunity. Monday - friday 8.30am-3.15pm

Milk Education are working with a primary school who are looking to recruit a Reception Teaching Assistant. You will be supporting a child with ASD and SEMH , the child already has a ECHP which has been implemented successfully. You will be supported by the inclusion team . You will support the child in the class and also you will have go into the school sensory room

Your role & responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
  • Be committed to raising attainment, aspiration, and self-esteem of pupils
  • Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a safe environment and engaging lesson

Non-negotiables:

  • Holds a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience within the last 3 monthss supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles

Please note, candidates without a qualification but with extensive experience (paid or voluntary) with children or a relevant setting are also welcome to apply!

  • Previously support children in schools or SEN setting or similar.
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
  • Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
