We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of DT - Resistant Materials to join our dynamic team in Harrogate. This is a full-time position in a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school, commencing in September.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Experience in teaching product design at KS4/KS5 is preferable.
  • A background in art and design is an added bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Support and guide students through their coursework and examinations, particularly in product design at KS4 and KS5.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
