Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer – 6 Month Contract – £200 p/d (Inside IR35)- Hybrid

Join a dynamic regulatory and enforcement service within a London council, where you will ensure compliance and safety across a wide range of licensed activities.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer for a 6-month contract. You will be required to support the licensing service in discharging statutory licensing functions by undertaking the full range of licensing enforcement duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all licensing enforcement matters and act as the responsible authority officer.
  • Review license applications and pursue representation where necessary.
  • Inspections of licensed premises to ensure compliance.
  • Provide advice to licensees on maintaining high standards of management and compliance.
  • Investigate complaints and gather intelligence on licensing breaches.
  • Take formal enforcement actions, including issuing notices and initiating legal proceedings.
  • Compile case reports, interview suspects, and present evidence in hearings.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records to support licensing administration.

The ideal Senior Licensing Enforcement 0fficer:

  • Recognised professional qualification in licensing or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience in an enforcement or investigative environment, particularly in licensing.
  • Strong understanding of investigative processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and presenting evidence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in developing licensing enforcement strategies.

This is an initial 6 month contract offering £200 per day (Inside IR35).

This role requires attendance at our council office in London, with some flexibility for remote working.
