Part Time Compliance Manager

Location: Lightwater

Salary: £27,000-£36,000 (Pro-Rata)

20-25 hours a week, over 3 or 4 days (Hybrid Options Available

My client who are within the financial services industry are looking for a Compliance Manager to ensure that our staff, operations, and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules, including compliance with Data Protection Regulations The successful candidate will be well versed in legal and regulatory matters, GDPR, and corporate governance best practice.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve and continually improve an effective Compliance Risk Management Framework

Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk

Educate and train employees on regulatory and industry practices

Pro-actively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses

Ensure that regulatory and compliance risks are identified, managed, mitigated and reported on, and the Board are made aware of such risks

Analyse current and forthcoming regulations, proposals and legislation, and provide detailed analysis and pragmatic solutions

Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance

Build working relationships with our insurance partners in France, Dubai & Indonesia on legal and compliance matters

Consult with Law firms as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues

Educating staff, fostering a positive and informed data protection culture across the business

Co-operating with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO)

Review and advise the business on contracts with suppliers and insurers

Requirements & Skills

Proven experience as a Compliance Manager and risk management

Excellent communication skills

Integrity and professional ethics

Able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels

Problem-solving skills to find pragmatic solutions

Takes initiative and works under own direction

Works meticulously always demonstrating a very high level of attention to detail

Qualifications

BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field (desired but not

essential)

4-5 years experience in compliance risk management

Demonstrate a practical understanding of insurance legislation
