Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality History lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach A-level History.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical analysis of historical events and periods.
- Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to meet the varied needs and abilities of students.
- Regularly assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their progress and attainment.
- Work collaboratively with the History department and other staff to enrich the curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
- Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, such as history clubs, educational trips, and guest lectures, to enhance students' learning experiences.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching History at the secondary school level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the History curriculum and effective pedagogical strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
