Are you experienced with end-to-end payroll processing?

Based in Hertford my client is a well-established commercial Cleaning Company that specialises in Builders Cleans, End of Tenancy Cleaning, and Office Cleaning including windows. Their particular specialism is working with construction companies where they carry out cleaning on new builds i.e. houses and flats. They are presently working on various sites across London and the Southeast, and currently employ in excess of 200+ cleaning operatives.

They are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to process end to end monthly payroll. You need to have previous payroll experience, (at least two years), as you will be processing three complex payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll. You will also need some experience and knowledge of CIS returns and statements, although the Finance Director and HR Manager will be on hand to assist with technical issues.

The finance team is a small team of 4 people, although the wider office has around 12 members of staff. The offices are bright and modern, within easy walking distance to the centre of Hertford. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Payroll position is a stand-alone role. You may also be required to assist in other areas of accounts where needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who has worked as a Payroll Administrator or Officer for at least 2 years
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Sage 50 Payroll and Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical thinker
  • High level of accuracy
  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly payroll for 3 companies using Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Pension submissions
  • RTI Submissions
  • Posting wages journals
  • Net Wages reconciliation
  • Wages analysis
  • Dealing with ad hoc payroll duties, i.e attachment of earnings orders, pension queries
  • Keep up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance
  • Assist with payroll queries
  • Preparation of P11Ds
  • Preparation of CIS returns and statements
