Working Hours – 09:00 – 17:15 Monday - Friday

Salary – £12,064 per annum

Job Description:

The role of Accounts Apprentice is an entry level role into the client accounting team and will prepare the individual for a career in Finance, ensuring initial solid knowledge supporting finance and operational teams whilst performing key tasks across Finance teams. Specific responsibilities are detailed below, although the role will involve ad hoc tasks from time to time.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Timely and effective delivery of invoice administration, supplier payments and ledger ‘hygiene' and integrating of supplier balances for new sites coming into management.
  • Supporting the distribution of Service Charge Year End Balancing documentation and other reconciliation documentation.
  • Ensuring adherence with (internal & external) Service Level Agreements, and compliance with all systems and procedures.
  • Maintaining the highest professional standards of conduct, and data/processing accuracy
  • To support team members as appropriate to assist in the overall efficient operation of the team.
  • Carry out ad hoc projects / tasks as maybe required.
  • Ensuring effective working relationships and communication between you, the team and all other Finance teams and other departments (particularly Estates) across the business.
  • Ensure that the business reputation and good standing is protected always

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Preferable to be working towards a finance related qualification.
  • Personable, with a strength of character to deal with challenging suppliers whilst having a flexible approach to achieve business and/or client needs.
  • Naturally inquisitive with an ability to interrogate and develop internal systems and processes with continuous improvement techniques.
  • Organised, self-motivated, with ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, whilst ability to keep perspective and make informed decisions.
  • An excellent communicator (oral and written).
  • Computer literate, including ability to use MS Office, Teams and working knowledge of Exce
