Qualifications and Experience:

  • Do you have a zest for teaching and a passion for food? We want you!
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Hold a degree or a qualification in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Whether you're a seasoned chef or a fresh talent, we're ready to welcome you to our culinary academy!
  • Know the UK national curriculum inside and out.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology up to Key Stage 4 students is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to the needs of Key Stage 3 & 4 students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Food Technology curriculum.
  • Organise practical cooking sessions and ensure the safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and other activities as required.
