We are recruiting for an experienced Risk Surveyor, suitable candidates will have Insurance Risk Surveying/Consultancy experience, with knowledge of buildings/construction risks.
About the role
- Managing your own workload of Reinstatement Cost Assessment risk surveys.
- Workload and diary organisation.
- Managing and updating online portals to ensure information is recorded safely, promptly, and correctly.
- Production of reports through online systems
- Understand and utilise building rate information, online mapping tools and online measuring tools.
- Carrying out safe and correct property surveys, efficiently and accurately.
- Being a part of the surveying team in delivering a high-quality service.
- Ensuring that workloads are handled in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain high customer service levels.
- Build, maintain and enhance relationships with our clients.
- Integrate into our team and build positive relationships with colleagues.
What skills required?
Current experience as a Surveyor dealing with Property Insurance Risks
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- An enquiring mind.
- A methodical approach to gathering information.
- Good communication skills.
- An assertive but tactful and persuasive manner.
- An understanding of technical information and plans, and the ability to explain them clearly to non-experts.
- Report-writing skills.
- Computer skills.
- The ability to work alone and as part within a team.
- Health & Safety.
- Fire and Perils, examining plans, construction and fire protection systems to assess the risks to a building and its contents would also be an advantage.
