Position: Learning Support Assistant

This position is focused on working within the school's SEN unit, supporting a group of 12 pupils across mixed ages. You'll be part of a dedicated team of 4 other Learning Support Assistants, providing essential support to help each child achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Role Highlights:
- Specialised SEN Support: As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will involve supporting students with special educational needs in a structured, caring environment.
- Collaborative Team: Work closely with 4 fellow Learning Support Assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support for the 12 children in the SEN unit.
- Varied Experience: Engage with pupils from different age groups, tailoring your approach to meet their unique educational and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised education plans (IEPs).
- Help create an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere where every child can thrive.
- Track and report on student progress, working with the teacher to adapt support strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in an SEN setting is strongly preferred.
- A valid DBS check is required, or a willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a passion for supporting children with SEN.
