Multi-Skilled Carpenter / Working Foreman

We are looking for a conscientious and enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Carpenter / Working Foreman with a can-do attitude and flexible approach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have relevant trade skills and qualifications, with the capability to complete tasks outside their core competency. Professionalism, courtesy, and a commitment to maintaining high standards are essential. All candidates must pass a DBS and Police vetting check.
Day to day of the role:
- Conduct a variety of carpentry repairs in residential, corporate, and civic buildings, including door fitting, kitchen installations, and minor plumbing.
- Manage quoted/project works on-site, ensuring health & safety and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with supervisors for in-progress job checks and material sourcing.
- Communicate effectively with the help desk regarding job completion times and materials used.
- Support all trades to deliver a professional maintenance and repairs service.
- Respond to high priority situations promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of works undertaken, with photographic evidence as needed.
- Participate in the call-out rota and maintain company vehicle standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of trade experience, ideally with residential repairs and project works.
- Proficiency in carpentry, with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Competence in at least two secondary skills.
- Experience with UPVC repairs and maintenance, kitchen and bathroom installations, and fire-door regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Practical approach to health and safety.
- Self-management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and job management IT systems.
- Full current driving license.
