Company Description:
A leading manufacturer in its field is looking to recruit a Materials and Process Engineer.
The purpose of the role is to research and test materials to support design and development to ensure customer expectations are met.
Responsibilities as Materials and Process Engineer:
- Ensure correct certification of all development and performance validations
- Control technical aspects of materials and products to meet the customer requirements.
- Produce technical documents including technical reports, material data sheets and specifications.
- Approve and sign off of drawings and manufacturing documentation relating specifically to materials.
- Conduct material and product tests to ensure compliance with customer requirements and specifications
- Identify improvements in materials, chemicals, substances and processes
Skills & Experience required as Materials and Process Engineer:
- Experience in a similar role within a Production / Laboratory environment.
- Be willing to travel UK and overseas as required for supplier and customer visits.
- Ideally good knowledge of polymers
- Ability to write comprehensive technical report and documents is required
