A local charity with over 40 years of care and support in the community is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis here in Bristol.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is a key role in managing the day to day running of the finance function. This will include:
- Lead a small transactional team of 3, overseeing the month-end process and reporting.
- Oversee the purchase and sales ledger functions.
- Produce management accounts and P&L reports for budget holders across the business.
- Assist in year-end preparation and supporting audit.
- Support for a range of small and large projects from process improvement to systems upgrades.
What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for someone that is qualified, but would look at someone that is part qualified. In addition, you should have experience in broad finance role, ideally from a similar sized business. You should have experience of month-end processes and should have some management experience. It is essential that this person has a genuine interest in the Hospice's work and has a desire to improve the ways things are done.
