Job Description: Mechanical Engineer/Welder Pipe Fitter's
Location: Norfolk
Contract Duration: Minimum 4 weeks (with potential for extension)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (half-hour lunch break)
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Overview:
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers/Welder Pipe Fitters to support a project in Norfolk. The contract will last a minimum of 4 weeks, with the potential for extension depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for mechanical operations.
- Perform welding and fabrication work on piping structures.
- Ensure all work is in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with the team to complete the project within the set timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to execute tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Welder Pipe Fitter and must have TIG welding ticket.
- Competence in welding, cutting, and fitting pipes.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices.
- Strong understanding of piping systems, mechanical operations, and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications in mechanical engineering, welding, or pipe fitting.
- Experience working on large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
Pay:
- Competitive hourly rates; up to £16.00 per hour (to be discussed based on experience)
