Buying Administration Administrator

As a Buying Administration Assistant you will support both the Buying Assistants and Buying Directors to stay ahead of the game, providing comprehensive and professional administrative support. National Buying Administration are seeking an Administrator who work as part of a team responsible for a variety of administrative tasks on a 23 month fixed term contract.

The Administrator is expected to become an expert in their field and identify process improvements to aid the smooth running of the department.

The role requires an individual with a consistently positive approach, high attention to detail and a passion for quality. The Administrator must be a confident communicator as there will be interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Administrator will be expected to demonstrate their ability to achieve and exceed department KPI's and run an organised and transparent desk to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date.

There are a number of different teams within National Buying Administration meaning that you could be:

  • Organising and co-ordinating training for new and existing colleagues
  • Manging supplier data
  • Supporting suppliers on a variety of tasks
  • Creating contracts for new hires, promotions and role changes
  • Setting up permissions and monitoring compliance within the department

Your New Role

  • Liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating escalations with the relevant department(s)
  • Running an organised and transparent desk
  • Following data entry procedures
  • Keeping information confidential and complying with data integrity and security policies
  • Demonstrating your ability to achieve and exceed department KPI's
  • Becoming an expert in your field and identify process improvements to aid the smooth running of the department.

  • Experience in a busy office environment and an administrative role

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all internal and external parties
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Organisational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality levels
  • High levels of initiative and proactivity
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver against short deadlines
  • Highly organised, logical and efficient

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
