Cake Decorating Lecturer

Are you a Cake specialist with a passion in teaching? Would you be open to a permanent role teaching students learning to be a Cake Decorator?

**We are seeking a Cake Decorating Lecturer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in planning and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for Cake Decorating courses. This position offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to our student's success and to the development of our curriculum.

Day-to-day of the role of a Cake Decorating Lecturer :

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Cake Decorating.
  • Ensure positive student outcomes and meet academic performance targets.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Cake Decorating curriculum, incorporating national best practices.
  • Administer courses, contribute to marketing initiatives, and ensure compliance with College policies.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures, including assessment and internal verification.
  • Provide support to unemployed adult learners, helping to remove barriers to training.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Cake Decorating Role :

  • Recognised teaching qualification like PGDE or other Level 4+ teaching qualification.
  • Relevant English/Literacy qualifications, ideally equivalent to level 2
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Recent experience in utilizing ICT in the workplace and the ability to teach basic IT skills.
  • Effective team player with tutorial skills and the ability to work sensitively with others.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and the ability to work independently with limited direction.

Experience required for the role :

  • Proven experience in delivering Cake Decorating courses.
  • Demonstrated high levels of organization and commitment to learning and development.
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive within a team environment.
