Management Accountant - Corestream

The purpose
This role will take ownership for reporting and analysing financial activity across CoreStream, and act as a finance subject matter expert for the business. This role is vital as we work through the wider strategic aim to build on the fantastic growth CoreStream has achieved over recent years. This is a great opportunity if you are looking for autonomy and a great deal of exposure.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling and analysing the transactional data in the ERP system (Xero) to ensure that the figures included in the P&L and balance sheet are complete and accurate. This will involve working closely with the Head of Finance and with source systems.
  • Preparing (and reviewing where relevant) of all reporting issued to the business, ensuring that the reporting of results meets stakeholder needs.
  • Preparing and reviewing the management accounts, including full actual to budget and prior year variance analysis with comprehensive commentary on all material variances.
  • Developing and maintaining consistent accounting processes and controls, whilst continually looking for efficiencies and improvements.
  • Preparing and collating budget and forecasting information for CoreStream and ensuring appropriate challenges are given to the budget owners.
  • Developing a monthly rolling forecast with variance analysis to budget to provide insight to stakeholders.
  • Undertaking business partnering-like activity through extending and developing reporting and KPIs for business activity through working with the Finance Director to understand requirements.
  • Ensuring that all compliance returns (e.g. VAT, P11D etc) and any other submissions are accurately completed and filled on time.
  • Acting as a key contact in the statutory audit process, working closely with the wider team as required.
  • Prepare and review the monthly payroll reports before and after processing by the external payroll provider.
  • Facilitating and dealing with ad hoc queries from the wider business in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Finance Director and Commercial Director with other project work on an ad hoc basis.

Where you'll be working
The position will be hybrid working, 1 day per week in our Aldford, Chester office.
