We're the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we're ready to help.

We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people's lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind.

We're looking for a Policy Officer to join our team and support our Policy Advisers in developing and communicating a range of the policy issues for the PPF.

Historically the team has primarily been responsible for policy on the pension protection fund levy, but we are now taking on a range of other issues - including working with stakeholders on future legislation to develop a regulatory regime for superfunds and on an expanded role for the PPF. They will include managing the flow of work to decision makers, drafting material for internal use and publication, handling and responding to policy queries and supporting policy development as required.

Our ideal applicant will have a real interest in policy analysis, they will be able to gather information from multiple sources and demonstrate experience of applying good analytical skills and judgement to solve problems and help decision making. This role requires someone that has strong verbal and written communication skills, to be able to work with both technical and non-technical individuals, and they must have the ability to use PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (Including, creating visually appealing PowerPoints, and formatting documents).
